I am new to riding a motorcycle and the thought of riding in a group scared me.  My husband is a member of the BMA and they always plan a ride to Port Dover on Friday the 13th.  A few of the members decided to plan a new rider friendly route to Port Dover.  So on September 13th, 2019, five of us set out to take a very scenic ride to Port Dover.  In the group were three experienced BMA members and two rookies.  We set out with the experienced riders alternating between the rookies. The ride leader set a good pace to ensure the group stayed together and at intersections where we occasionally got split up, they waited for us.  While waiting at the lights the other riders would check on us to see how we were doing and if we needed a break.  We made it to Port Dover and I am no longer afraid to ride in a group.
